I've said this before we use to put Pennzoil aircraft oil in motor with a cup of gear oil because an Indy in Louisiana who drag raced Harleys said that was the best thing to do. Never saw any performance benefit one way or the other. The Motor did not implode. You Didn't go any faster either LOL!

I have ran 60wt when temps get to 90 and no bad effects. I also get better oil pressure when its hot. I just let the engine warm up a minute or so to get the oil warm.
HD manual calls for heavier oil when its hot out. I have 200 lb cold compression with ev27, no comp release, and she has always started easy.
