Different Oil for Ambient temps??
Different Oil for Ambient temps??
It's time to change my oil, and in my Clymer manual it recommends certain oil types for ambient temps. I live in West Texas and 80 percent of the riding is done in 80+ degree wheather (more like in the 90's and 100's). Should I use the SAE 60? or would the SAE 50 be fine. I've never really thought about this in a car. But than again a car is liquid cooled.

I live in the subtropics, temperature ranges on average between 80 - 100° F
Been running SAE 60 since new as recommended by dealer and HD Maintenance Manual:
lowest ambient temp above 60° F - SAE 50
lowest ambient temp above 80° F - SAE 60
