Default Another Oil thread

Hi guys
I leave in Saudi Arabia the desert country where the temp reach more than 120F ( i know thats tooooo much ) & i would like to know if someone used this oil before. The Castrol Edge Sport 10w 60 cause this oil as you know can handle the high temp we are on. Its fully synth.

Never heard of it but if its MA Jaso your don't need it since the clutch pack doesn't share oil with the crankcase. If I were you and the temps are pretty close to yours I would run a straight 60 w in dino or synthetic in any brand you want. The 10w is for 10 degree start ups and neither one of use will ever see that or even want to ride in those temps. The manual says you can use straight 50w if the temp are 60 degrees overnight and 60w if 80 degrees overnight. Hell I bet it doesn't get cooler than 100 overnight so 60 is where I would be.

Tucci and I live in a similar desert climate to you, and like you it is just starting to get nice again.

I run the H-D syn 3 oil. it is a multigrade, so will flow well when the temperatures are cool in January ( so that the motor internals are lubricated) and will also handle high heat operation.

our summer temps and dusty conditions are considered "extreme duty" so an oil change interval of 3000 miles may be better than the usual 5000 miles

I'd definitely go with a straight 60w and I'd lean heavily towards synthetic.
