thanks THC, and LOOK OUT. did not realize the pinion gear jumped out like that, makes sence.
trying to figure out my clutch adjustment now. have never adjusted one (only the throttle cable) i followed steps 1-5 but on step 6 'squeeze clutch lever to maximum limit 3 times to set ball and ramp release mechanism' the lever just slaps handle grip.
i took the clutch cover off and moved the ramp to see what it would do, has an in and out position. put cover back on and backed off adjuster screw on clutch, same thing. so not really sure where to start from scratch.
i'll keep reading through the clutch section on here, a lot of threads on that.

BACK IN THE SADDLE! (in record time too haha) test rode it late monday, and it had a bad vibration, way worse than normal. re-adjusted the belt, and primary chain, vibration still there.
the vibration was worse in the right floor board than the left, and traveld up to the fairing. found it to be the right floor board, after snugging it up again the vibration is gone. it felt worse than somthing as simple as that. it shifts nice, and no leaks, so am happy so far. socked in with rain all weekend here, sucks for riding it
