I have 99 fatboy with 80 evo and cv carb. Bike runs and ideals great when upright. But when I put on kick stand it stalls out. I'm thinking it is float level. Does that sound right to any one else. Just wondering if I on the right track

I would agree with that diagnosis.

Could also be the "fall over switch" in the ign. pickup. I guess you could check it with the bike on the stand, and crank it over with a timing light attached to see if it is firing. Otherwise it would probably be as said above and float adjustment.
