Should I sell my 84?

Should I sell my 84?
I have an 84 FLHTC for years that I don't ride anymore and a guy wants to buy it from me. I fire it up once in awhile and clean the dust off of it. I really like that bike but basically quit riding it when I bought a new Road King in 07 and have since bought an FLHX. I just kind of admire it, and enjoy it's sentimental value with the memories attached to it.
The guys been hittin me up about it for awhile now and today asked how much I wanted for it. It's hard to put monetary value on something like that. I don't have a clue what it's worth but I don't think I'd take less than 8k for it. Any insight would be appreciated.

Firing it up once in a while is the worst thing you could possibly do to it, unless it goes for a 20 mile run each time. Take photos, kiss it gently and take the guy's money....its the best thing for the bike, that it is loved and ridden...all you are doing is killing it slowly and I am sure it means too much to you for you to want to allow that to happen.
But bear in mind you can get an 07-09 bike on Ebay for 8 grand so maybe its not going to be worth enough for you to part with it.

Unless you need the $$$$ its possibly better than money in the bank

I agree, keep it, but you do need to ride it a bit. and its not worth aywhere near 8K.
I have some things that mean a great deal to me but I no longer use, just nice knowing they are there. Someday I will either pass them down or deal them but for now the money is not an issue. Once they are gone the money can be easily spent an one will have neither...

Really? Based on all you know about this? It's worth that much to me and others who have seen it. Thanks for your input though...I know you go out on a limb some times on this forum.
