Default 21" to 19"

Just wondering if anyone can tell me for sure whether the front fender is the same for a 21" or a 19" front wheel on a narrow-glide front end. I have a 1993 FXLR anniv. edition. The FXLR came with the 21" front wheel. I prefer the 19", and if the fender is the same, this might be something I want to change. I don't have a parts manual but the online parts manual that I have looked at, it appears that the fender is the same. Anybody here made the swap either way that can tell me for sure?

Same fender. If you go with the 19" wheel there will be a gap at front & trailing edge of fender due to decrease in diameter. Not bad though!
I have the same bike. Mines #74 of 800.

Cool. Looks like I might be looking for a 19" mag when it's time to replace my front tire. Mines #106.

Either will fit fine as long as you use a narrow wheel meaning 2.15 with a 90/90/21 or a 100/90/19 tire.

Yeah, that's what I'm wanting to do. Just run a factory 19" mag. At some point, maybe even go dual disc.

I'd like to run a 19" laced front wheel. I haven't had to much luck finding a dual flange one for a narrow glide though.

Just did my 50,000 mile service last night. I found that my 21" laced front wheel rim is bent. I wonder if the wifey will buy that as a good enough reason to spend more money on the bike. Maybe best to ask for forgiveness later.
