I'm trying to install the muffler onto the head pipes and its not working. They're nearly identical in diameter. I still have a good 3/4 inch that they need to move, but they're not budging. Any suggestions much appreciated, i can provide more info if needed. Thanks

Here's some pics.

This is the connection in question. Putting the muffler onto the pipes.
This is to show the distance i can put it on the pipe, with about 3/4" still to go.
This is the muffler bracket. This example demonstrates the distance left to right that it still needs to cover in order to hit the holes on the mounting bracket.
