Trying to get a new screaming eagle ignition module to work on a 2005 road king carb bike. I have tried to follow the password learning procedere with no success anybody done this that has any tips???

 

I have done it sucessfully! but it takes time and you should put the bike on a battery charger while your doing the procedure, this will keep the battery voltage up, if it drops the marring will not complete.

what parts are you having problems with?
secondly, you will be happier with a daytona twin teck ignition!

 

I dont get any light to come on the speedo except the engine check lamp. It says the sec.light should come on but it doesnt(bike has no added sec. system) I do as it says but check engine light stays lit well longer than the 10 minutes and doesnt turn off as it says it should.

 

I just re-read my service manuel and it realy didnt say what to do without security. the main reason why you have this feature is to help gaurd against theift.

what happens when you just try and fire it up?
