loss of idle quality after burnout
I am not sure how to ask this question but after doing a burnout with bike which is a 2002 dyna wideglide carb mikuni hsr42 v&h straight shots and air cleaner k&n .idle sounds like i have no base timing i am currently using the se mapable ignition module .i am on curve 1 for stock bikes i used to ping at about 5 degrees advance and ran it at 3 degrees for 4 years now i dont even ping when i put it up to its max a 6 degrees idle quality got better doesnt sound flat but it doesnt sound right i would of figured i flattened the valve springs being up on the rpm .could i have did something to the crankshaft to throw off timing or am i barking up the wrong tree and should look elsewhere thanks if someone could shed some light here

Gene, thanks for the reply i tried to clean out carb also used a good carb to test same thing .i figured the same if i bent something it would be bad everywhere .i was thinking maybe carbon buildup and just coincidence for the idle after burnout or the venting of the gas tank too .would a weak valve spring be a possibility?thanks Kenny
