Question Stroke length of 88" & 96" engines

What's the stroke on. Stock 88 and a stock 96?

Isn't the S&S 106 like a "cheater" kit that allows a higher than normal stroke? I know cases wouldn't need to be split on my 96 for the kit, but what's the advantage to this kit(the extra stroke due to their pistons sitting lower)?

Thanks

The cases do have to be split for S&S 106 on a 96" motor? I didn't think they did.

He said "not needed to be split". It's bore only

To answer your question:

88" = 4.00" stroke
96" = 4.375" stroke
