For starters I have an 06 deuce. I disconnected the QD for other maintenance. When I reconnected it started leaking. Leaked more when the fuel line (connected) was moved in any direction. I disconnected the fuel line and fuel continued to leak. I was able to get it to stop by repeated connect / disconnect of QD. It is now disconnected with no leaks but what good does that do?
I've read about the o ring inside the QD causing leak. Could this really be the o ring if it leaked disconnected?
