I created a fuel leak yesterday when I jacked up the motor to change the front mount. It's at the connection to the fuel rail. Does that fitting have an o ring that can be changed or do I need to buy a whole new line?
There's an o-ring on the tank end as well, right where the fuel line plugs into the quick connect...HD wants you to buy the whole line though. You can get John Deere pn# R26286 or find an o-ring that is .414 inside, .558 outside and a thickness of .072. If it's leaking where that hose plugs into the fuel line going to the rail, try unplugging it and reattaching it. If it still leaks, you might have to buy the whole line, or the tube if it's distorted.
New front motor mount, and all the wild fairing vibrations are gone. ( it was trashed )
New fuel line and no more leak.
All is well in my world.....for a minute. Hahaha.
Thanks to all for the help, much appreciated.
Merry Christmas !
