I'm switching from one screamin eagle stage 1 air filter p/n 29478-05a to another stage 1 screamin eagle pro heavy breather p/n 29478-05a backing plate (kit # 29299-08)...any help would be appreciated...DOES THE ECM HAVE TO BE REPROGRAMMED ??

 

No you definitely don't need to reset the ECM. I think you probably meant to ask if the ECM needed to be reprogrammed. Shouldn't be necessary if youre going from one free breathing Air filter to another.

 

I went from the SE cleaner to a heavy breather and had to tweak the tune a little. So the answer is maybe?
