Default Question about Intakes

Just a simple performance based question, I'm going to stage one my bike here sometime soon and would like to know what people think about different intakes???

I've heard the Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather performs well, any opinions would be appreciated

Also I'm stuck between Rhinehart, Thunderheader and V&H Pro Pipe

Thanks again in advance

For stage-1 nearly any after-market A/C will do the job, none of them have the in-built restrictions of the stock A/C. Get one that you like the look of but just avoid the really small ones, they don't have the surface area to breathe well.

I'm very happy with my arlen ness a/c,I have the big sucker 2.To me,nothing sounds better than a thunderheader, and they're one of the top performing pipes as well.

The Heavy breather flows more than the regular Screamin' Eagle that uses the stock air filter cover. Look at www.KNfilters.com to see the dyno graph on the regular stage 1 and the KandN version of the Heavy Breather. Also, HD SE catalog states "offers improved performance and air flow when compared to the stock or Screamin' Eagle High Flow air cleaner". I am not sure how it would compare to the open filters such as the Screamin' Eagle Ventilator performance air filter. I think the curved long intake tube helps air velocity which in turn would help throttle response. It certainly attracks attention thou. I personally would not do stage 1 with a full change of exhaust. I would get a Fuelmoto Power Commander if changing the whole exhaust. I would recommend stage 1 only with intake and slip ons. Slip ons have plenty aggressive sound and get rid of a lot of restriction of noise elements or cats on 10 bikes. How this info help.
