Default Clearview Windshield with a Vent

I'm looking at the Clearview Windshield with a Vent but wondering if getting it with the Vent is worth the extra money? Do you the vent much? I'm also looking at the Long Ride Shields too and if the I go without a vent I'll probably get the LRS.

This is going on a 2003 Dyna Low Rider with a Dead Center Cycles Road Captain Batwing Fairing that takes a standard Harley 3 hole Touring windshield.

Thanks

Be prepared to wait a month for a Clearview screen because they only make to order rather than sell from stock and make for stock.

I put one on my RGU. It helped me. For mine there was no waiting. Shipped immediate. In my opinion it was worth the extra $$$.

Bullshit. My shield was a full custom, from date of order to completion, seven working days. Got an email at every stage of the construction. I passed on the vent, but their product is first class.

I just saw the Clearview tent at the Denver Motorcycle Expo. They had a bunch of shields already to go, including vented ones. If you call them, they can tell you what they have in stock, and if they don't have it, when the production run for that shield is going to happen.

I had one of their recurves on my Classic and thought is was great.

Does the vent help with buffeting? Just wondering since they put one on the 14s.

It does help, doesn't eliminate it but helps. So much that I wouldn't remove it once I rode with it!

I have had a Clearview recurve (with vent) on my CVO Ultra for several years and would recommend it. The vent helps in the hot weather. I am not sure it helps a lot on the buffeting. SJ Ron

What about in the cold weather, does the vent close tight enough to be like a windshield without a vent?

Thanks
