Default Have you taken a Rider Safety Course?

Just finished my training to be a Rider Safety Coach for MSF. I'll be taking my Harley rider coach training next year. So now I am curious how many of you have ever taken the basic course or an advanced riders course. Poll is attached and I'm also interested in any comments or opinions. You can select more than one option. Thanks and ride safe everyone!

MSF courses are a MUST. I started riding back in 1986, long before any such class existed. After 25 years of riding and racing experience under my belt, MSF came out. I was grandfathered in, because now you have to have it in order to get your license. I sent my girlfriend and attended the class room portion with her. I assisted in giving instruction on the riding course. It's fun. Everyone should do it whether they need to for their license or not. It's well worth it.

Yup! I started riding street at 14, but took some time off after I lost sight in one eye.
After I started to ride again my son and I took the advanced course together. I recommend everyone take it no matter how good they think they are.

Took the Advanced Course 30 years ago. Scheduled for Ride Like a Pro But sold the Ultra. Don't need it with the Heritage.

I did the Riders Edge program just to get my license after some several years of riding without it. I also took the Lee Parks "Total Control" class 5 or 6 years ago. They get into the more advanced aspects of riding. Enjoyed that quite a bit.

Took it three times. Once when I first learned. Then it was a requirement in the Navy. Lastly after I took a few years off riding and it's free here in PA.

Yes, picked up some tips and helped me save 10% on my insurance. I personally think all new riders should have to take it and it wouldn't hurt quite a few experienced riders to take a class no matter how much everyone "thinks" they know.

I took the intermediate course here in Oregon. Been riding for years, but I learned a lot and really liked it.

I bought the course for my son for his birthday this year. He wanted to start riding and I wouldn't let him without it! If you pay attention you can learn a lot and it really opens your eyes for a lot of stuff.
