Default Lean noise

All,

About two weeks ago I start hearing a whine (like a gear whine) while leaning into turns. When I go straight I dont hear it. It first I was thinking brake pads rubbing or radio ground problems, but those are not it. A friend of mine thinks its the tires themselves. I bought it used with 5000 miles on it, and now I have 8500 on it. Could it be that or something else?

I have a 2013 Roadglide custom with a 12" high windshield.

It IS the tires. I know that has been discussed here before. Normal they all do it although I forget why. My bike does it

Markymannn,

Why would it start now and not do since the beginning?

Yep, sounds like tires.

Every now & then I hear a whine from the rear of my bike. The only way to make it go away is to stop and get her damn vodka & tonic...

It is the tires, and it gets much more pronounced the more wear they have on them.

I haven't heard it on new tires, but as they get close to needing replacement you hear it more.

I also vote for tires. Mine will whine more as they wear and get really loud when I push the twisties.
