You're assuming the bike is all wheel drive?

I have gotten use to this when tires start to cup or worn down. 2011 FLHTK I had 26,6??.? Miles on original tires with no cupping, just wear. I was getting a wine when leaning also so I thought it was worn tires. I was getting ready to replace them in another 2,000 miles after I returned from a trip. Shop had a sale going before the trip so I went ahead and purchased the tires. Waiting on them to finish and service guy comes out and tells me that the front wheel bearings are bad and needs replacing. I just had the rear bearings changed last year. I don't understand why put crappy bearings on these bikes. I have never had a bearing go out on any of my bikes and this thing eats bearing. And NO it has never seen a pressure washer and stays in a garage.

Interesting the reason for this noise. I will check the tire pressures tomorrow.,what is good pressure to run for touring bike?

I don't know. I've always kept up the pressure at 40 PSI. Ride two up mostly. When I bought the bike from the dealer in Montana, they told me that they put a new tire on for the original owner at 5K (I assume for the same reason). My wife and I combined weigh 325 lbs. I'm just going to install an Avon tire and see what happens. I'll get at least 5K out of that one and I hear they stick like glue so why go with the Dunlop again.

Cupped tires....mine did the same thing with barely 10k on them. I replaced the stock tires with Michelins and I'm very happy with them so far.

Check wheel bearings, they will whine as well. Mine were replaced at 32,000 miles under warranty. I also changed the back tire at the same time because of cupping. 7.000 miles on a 407 Dunlop. I got 18,000 miles on the previous back tire. 6 days of riding all day in extremely hot weather. Indicated over 100 degrees on OAT gauge.

Or it could just be low tire pressure. I had this once when my pressure was down to 31 in the front instead of the 35 it should have been.
