Default harley loan

when i talked to the dealer they wouldnt finance me cause i couldnt make as big a down payment as they wanted and i have little credit history. i have a credit card i dont use that much. they said harley has had a lot of bad debts lately, people defaulting on there loans so now there being more careful about who they finance. anyway they suggested i talk to the bank so i did and the manager said yes they will give me the loan. warned me that if i screw it up i will have real credit problems in the future. ill make the purchase probably this weekend. ill do my best not to screw this up

Congratulations !! I think you're better off financing through the bank than with Harley anyway. What kind of bike will you be getting ???

Anyone can get financed through Harley. If you have 10% down you are fine. I filed bankruptcy 1.5 years ago and I got financed even with a new car loan. You will pay 14.9% but just pay it off faster.

Mind if I ask how old you are? If you didn't get to talk to the finance personnel at the dealership, you got pushed out. But as drrandall1 said, 10% down will get you in the door most days.

Yah, she might be young. I tried every loan company and I was denied by all. Harley is approving everyone right now.

Harley finance got into trouble a few years ago financing every and anyone for 5,6,7 years. I got a better rate going through Wells Fargo when I did mine.

Better than no Harley. That is the price you pay with bad credit. I had A+ credit 2 years ago. But when Bush passed the law I joined the club. Even paying 14.9% for $18,000is still better than paying off $80,000 at 6%. Who cares !!! I am out riding my hd and single!! What more is there in life?!!!
