Bike won't sell.

Bike won't sell.
I traded my 13 Super Glide Custom, upgraded from a 96" to a 103 Stage II kit with SE255 cams, in on a Ultra Limited last August.
I still see the bike is listed on their website for sale. A few months ago they were asking $9,999.00. I thought that was a heck of a deal...considering how clean and fast that bike is.

I was wondering why it isn't sold and I came up with two reasons.
1. The salesmen think it is just a stock Super Glide Custom.
2. They are not interested in selling it, they could make more money on a selling a new bike.
What do you think?
Maybe it is just not the bike people want these days?
I just hate seeing it not appreciated....and YES, if I won the lottery, I would go down there and buy it back....and make them give me the $600.00 sissybar/backrest they took off of it.

Tough sell. I believe you when you say work was done because at this point you have nothing in it. But it would take some serious proof from a salesman or private seller before I would believe it. Just a guess.

Dang, a buddy of mine had been looking for one of those for a few months. He recently settled on a 13RG.

All have to do is listen to it run. You can tell right away if its had work done.

The salesman will probably make the same on any bike, new or used. It will sell. My buddy had a 97 Heritage for sale for $7,500.00 for two months and got one tire kicker. I told him that if he wanted to sell, he had to lower the price. He didn't. Two weeks a later a guy showed up, gave him $7500.00 in cash and took the bike.
There's an *** for every seat. Sometimes it shows up right away and sometimes it takes a while.

You just have to wait it out. Do a lot of horse trading myself, like the man said there is a *** for every seat, some sooner, some later.

I bought a '13 SGC. Right after I bought it at retail, I found what seemed to be hundreds of them, used (with low miles) for sale. I think there are too many on the market to get a decent price. Don't know if there are a lot of '14s w/stock 103 avail? Personally, I'd be a little skittish if the build was not done by a dealer or rock solid shop. I had a '10 sport custom that sat at the dealer for almost a year (with $4k worth of suspension and other upgrades.)
