Harbor Freight has their table lifts on sale, so I'm going to take a chance on one. What brand of jack works well with a table lift?

You're going to spend 10,000 to 25,000 for a bike and table lift and buy a cheap Chinese jack to lift it...Don't do that. Spend enough to get an american made, well designed, dependable jack. I bought an "Black Jack", about 8 years ago, from Gregg Smith Equipment and it is still going strong. I regularly use it to raise my Road Glide Ultra and never have to worry if it is stable or will strip the threads on the worm gear when I lift a bike. They cost a little more but with the investment you have in a bike, it is worth it.


This is the type of jack you should be looking for.

Looks just like the scissor lifts that were recommended to the OP as an accessory to his lift table.

 

My Direct lift table came with one. If you get a different lift it might be twice as much, but you'll be 2x happier.
