Graphics for your Bike?
Anybody ever hear or use these guys? www.motorcycledecalgraphics.com They do all kinds of graphics for your bike, similar to custom graphic decal work for a custom car or such. Of course finding a custom painter is obviously the best way to go, very expensive too, but you could design your own graphics, put them on your bike, and clearcoat them or use them for a trial & error process before committing on custom paint work. What do you all think? Think a graphics package is only $160.00 or somewhere in that vicinity.

Wrapping vehicles and graphics like this have gotten very good, and popular. I am just a bit more subdued than that. I like my 1 or 2 colors, not much more.

$160.00 is relatively cheap as long as you don't scratch it and you need to have them re-do the bike again and again and again for every scratch or nick. And it's more than that 160.00 to do the whole bike.

In Florida you'll be lucky to get 3+ years out of the graphics.
I think most top notch companies only give a 3 year or less warranty on fading.
Florida sun is a bitch.
Longer life if stored inside.
As already mentioned, if not CCed, every time it gets scratched it will need touched up by a pro air brush artist or completely redone.
If you do CC over the graphics and decide to have it painted later there will be additional labor charges for having to remove the CC & graphics.
I have never sprayed a entire tank or the majority of it wrapped with graphics but would think doing so you would end up with gatoring of the CC.
For any type of paint or clear to stick and not gator you need either a chemical bond or a mechanical bond.
Not a smooth unprofiled substrate.
Even if you dusted the CC over the wrap there still may be an issue of the solvents attacking the inks &/or vinyl.

Figured the warranty would cover defects only, but once it left the shop it could be hit or miss. For $160- $180? it doesn't seem like a bad deal. Yea, you put them on yourself, I've done them on vehicles, not bikes. I guess the plus side to this is if you don't like it 6 months down the road, you just take them off. I got prices on painted custom "Kits" fenders, tanks etc. and they were $6300 for the entire bike. Checking out a few other graphic sites too. Just in the research stage right now. Was hoping someone already did it & could shed more info on it.
