Default Recalibrate

I have a 2015 hd forty eight with Vance and Hines big radius exhaust and screamin eagle stage 1 air cleaner.. Should I take the bike to the dealer to be recalibrated or purchase the dynojet power vision?? I have revived a lot of advice.. Seeking more before I decide...

Most dealers are going to give you a generic stage 1 tune that is EPA legal. Some offer custom dyno tuning with the SE race tuner, but that can be hit or miss depending on how good the tech is at that dealer.
I like the Power Vision because it is a very capable tuner and can also be used to monitor different things on your bike in real time without the need to hook up to a computer. And of course if you buy it from Fuel Moto you get a great warranty and map support.

bite the bullet and get it dyno tuned. Do it right the first time.

I spent several months researching fuel management options before I purchased my '13 Wide Glide, I've never owned a FI Harley before, every one of them previously was 'old school' and I always believed if you didn't get some fuel on your hands when you were in the carb making adjustments it wasn't a real HD but I did finally enter the 21st century.

The Power Vision is what I purchased, no way I wanted the dealer tweak, it's still EPA compliant and I knew I didn't want a piggyback device. The Power Vision gives you some nice features along with the basic auto tune, you can tune to your specific machine. Buy from FuelMoto or DK Custom, the double warranty and lifetime support are more than worth the price of admission!

I would not get the dealer download, I had it on a sportster and didn't notice any difference at all. I would get some kind of tuner/fuel management device. My bike has a Vance & Hines fuelpak that was installed by the previous owner and my bike runs great.

Agree with the others - the Dealer tune will keep the bike on the lean side
Go with the Power Vision - tell Jamie what you're running, they will send it with some maps, pick the one best - then run the autotune to dial it in.....
Best money you will spend....

I was just as confused so I decided I am taking my Screaming Eagle Pro Tuner in with my bike, paying for a dyno session and being done with it! No more wondering about decel pops, auto tunes, etc....I am actually looking forward to spending the $$. The price quoted really isn't that bad when you figure it is "one way" to get your bike tuned properly. That's what I am doing, good luck with your choice.
