Default high altitude to sea level. Won't start

Just moved from colorado to mississippi. Have a 2008 dyna super glide. Having problems getting bike to start. Understand that it has to do with the fuel injection and it should reset it's self BUT how can I get it started so I can ride and see if it can reset. I've charged the battery and it wants to fire but just won't turn over. Thanks

Check the easy stuff first. Got enough gas? Spark plugs = clean or replace. Check battery cable connections, plug wires, etc. Do you have a fuel petcock? Check it's in correct position.

So it ran OK when you left CO then just wouldn't start once you unloaded it in MS?

Others on here will help with more in-depth knowledge.

shouldn't make any diff. uses manifold pressure for altitude adjustment. all FI has some kind of altitude settings, not the problem look elsewhere. You could have a bad map sensor, check for codes

It's pissed you hauled it to Misssissipppppi instead of riding it there.
Or, maybe it just don't like Misssissipppppi and is throwing a temper tantrum wanting to go back home to Colorado.
It's having the Colorado Gold rush or is that Green rush withdrawals.
Good luck chasing that ghost.

Just to clarify, you say it's won't turn over but wants to?
Please elaborate.
Does it turn over but won't fire up or will it not turn over at all?

HarleyCharley has the right idea, check for codes.

Probably could be richer now, but I don't think that's your core problem.

I once had a customer's car in the shop running poorly, he had come from CO and was now at sea level. I hooked up my scanner and the map was showing 5k feet of elevation, so I replaced the map and that fixed the problem.

Your bike might be in Mississippi but its mind could still be in CO.

Dead battery... on an 08.... is it the org batt?????...

IF so
buy and install new batt that's charged... (also clean all connections.. both ends of both cables..))

I've remember reading through the yrs that when changing Alts... turn Ign on and off though 5 or Cycles.... then see if if your ECM adapts...

after doing above,,,,,,,,,, let us know......
