Default San Fran vs. Oakland dealership

Guys,

Tomorrow im flying to San Francisco for a few days for work. I may have one night free to tour around. I'm trying to decide which dealership to visit. I'd like to maybe pick up a t shirt or something about the area.

So my options are either the San Francisco dealership or should I cross over into Oakland? I don't know anything about either dealership but which of the two has more character?

Thanks

San Fran's Dudley Perkins definitely, think they are the oldest harley dealer in the country 95 years now, Bob Drone closed out in Oakland and Fremont's old dealer Fault Zone took over the building.

They also have a boutique down by Fisherman's Wharf.

Dudley Perkins is at the end of the runway at SFO, easiest to get to when flying to SF.

Yup! About a 10 minute drive. Trust me, O-Town is no place to travel to as a destination IMO.

Oakland HD is nice place with a nice staff. But it is just like many other HD dealerships - modern, clean, and has many bikes. Basically it is "standard."

Dudley Perkins, however, is like a little bike museum. If you only have time to visit one place, definitely choose Dudley Perkins. You won't regret it.

As for the location of Oakland HD....it's by the Oakland Airport. That neighborhood is not bad. Don't be too scared of the location. But DON'T go to other parts of Oakland. Just get off the freeway, go straight to the dealership, and then go straight back to the dealership when you are done. There is nothing in the rest of Oakland you'd want to or need to see anyway.

Let me get this straight, you have a free night in San Francisco and want to spend it buying a T shirt at a Harley dealership?

Am I missing something here?

No offense but man, you are in one of the coolest cities in the world. Go see something else for crying out loud and save the T shirt shopping for that lonely night in Dubuque, Iowa.

Rant over

I think I'd head over to Arlen Ness instead. Harley dealers all look alike after a few visits.
