I can't imagine a novice rider getting a little froggy with a 120 or even a 110.

Why the 110" non CVO Fat Boy and Slim and not the rest of the Softtail lineup?

Good question. Poor sales for those models compared to Heritage, Deluxe, and Breakout maybe.

With the 120ST being certified now, it makes sense to put it in the CVOs and let the 110s proliferate through the rest of the line. We'll find out soon enough.

The CARB reports still have the 110 in the CVOs and don't mention anything higher than the 110 so I don't think we'll see the 120 this year. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm definitely interested in the Fat Boy S. Might be a nice upgrade from my current Fat Boy Lo.

Well if it's true that the 110's will be available in non CVO trim, then let's hope for the Baker 7 speed transmission will be standard also?

Hey, why not?

Remember how they phased in the 103. First it was an option called Power Pack, and the Ultra Limited and Road King Classic had it standard. Then a year later all touring models had it. Then a year after that the 103 was throughout the line except the Dyna Super Glide and Street Bob ran the 96 for one more year. So if they follow a similar path with the 110 you won't see the 120 in the CVO's until the 2017's come out. That year will probably see the 110 in the touring models and maybe the rest of the softails, unless HD finds they are making a sweet profit by charging a huge premium on the softails with the bigger motor. 2018 should see the 110 as standard on all big twins.
