I have posted my bike for sale on Craigslist. The very next day I start getting phone calls from a bike seller 775 area code. They tell me they already have a buyer for my bike and are prepared to pay me a couple thousand over my asking price ad soon as the buyer qualifies fir the loan which they are funding.
All I need to do is sign up for their service which costs $299. Then they will sell the bike, wire me a check and pick up the bike.

I told 'm to fugof.

 

Anytime someone offers you thousands more than your asking price, it is a scam!

 

SCAM. Block that phone #.

 

Total scam! Run!

Tell them to send you the purchase price of the bike less the $299. Then they can ship it or pick it up at their cost once their check clears all banks.

 

Scam. I actually entertained this type of offer before. Deposited the check (didn't "ship" the car or touch the "check money" in my account) 2 days later it bounced. Lol

 

You'll still be 1700 over your asking price, what could possibly go wrong?
