I'm not sure if it's me or HD that is out of touch with reality... prolly me, I dunno

went to local dealer before Christmas to pick up stocking stuffer for the wife... looked at a women's HD hoodie... $100... no way... looked at a decent shirt... $80... no effin way... on my way out the door, a new roadglide really caught my eye... it was a standard 103" RG custom dressed up in a factory custom paint set with some other farkles the dealer had added... then I saw the sticker... $32k... NO EFFIN WAY. I freely admit I have been out of the bike market for a while, and I have my old 06 RG setup up almost exactly like I want (painted inner fairing is still on my list but that's about it). but I am was also starting to have a touch of new bike fever until I saw that... These prices just seem way out of line to me... needless to say, I left empty handed...

 

Those prices exist because enough people pay them. If not, they'd be lower.

You should have gotten an HD patch and a hoodie from a regular store and saved a bunch. I did that with an old hoodie and covered up a bank logo.

 

That RG must have had a lot of farkles on it to jack the price up that high!

 

you can't use the price of that one bike to gauge all of the new bikes. that custom paint set on a road glide, if it had a tour pack and extended saddlebags is almost $10,000 by itself. so in reality, that $32k price tag was really pretty cheap.

using that bike as a reference is like saying 'no way i'm buying a new chevy, since that caddy is $85,000'

 

All of the Victory gear is much cheaper. I wait...there isn't any...never mind.

 

 

The worst part of it is the fact that the clothing is made everywhere except USA.
