Default Grip Info

I have an 09 Heritage and am looking for some suggestions for a grip that would help with arthritis I have developed in my left hand due to an injury.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I installed, or rather had my dealer install, the Slipstream heated grips on my '08 Deluxe. They work great and solved my problem with osteoarthritis in my hands. I ride 8 hours with no pain or cramping. I would have installed them myself, but you need to cut into the wiring harness and I didn't want to compromise the waterproofness of my ride.I often ride in cold rain and my hands stay warm and flexible throughout my rides.

Avon are very popular and on my list of changes if for nothing else, to get rid of the remaining Willie G stuff.

If you truly have arthritis (Doctor Diagnosed) then I would assume due to your injury that it's Osteoarthritis. Unfortunately the style of grip is probably not the main culprit for your joint pain, but rather the position your hand is in. Heated grips or gloves may help loosen up your joints a little to relieve some pain, but I do not think a softer grip would help. You may also want to check out a wider diameter grip or a Cramp Buster to lessen the amount of joint bend.

I would stay away from anything prescription pain relievers while riding. I find Aleve works best for the pain I have in my knee from an old motorcycle accident I was in. You may also want to talk to a physical therapist. They can give you some hand exercises to help improve your situation.

If you do find the magic combination, let us know.

Good Luck!

Is it the grip or pulling the clutch lever?

Mostly the grip, seems pulling the clutch lever gets the blood flowing and lessons the pain somewhat.
