Grip Dilema HELP
Update..help. The left heated grip has two plugs that I can unplug. The right heated grip has a connection inside the TBW assembly, anyone have experience disconnecting this? Or is it even necessary too?
I'm installing a pair of Wild 1 578's on a 14 Ultra Limited. A bit tough going, I have the factory heated grips. I made the cut on the left bar to accommodate the heated grip length, but in putting the left grip back on, I broke one of the small wires. So now my dilemma, I wasn't crazy about the heated grips and I'm not interested in the after-market replacements. I'm now thinking of removing the heated grips all together and replacing them with regular non heated…I'll get some heated gloves next fall.
Do any of you see any problems installing the regular grips with the 3/8" that I cut off of the left bar? In other words, the grip will be 3/8" longer than the bar underneath.
