I just replaced my stock seat with a solo seat on my heritage softail (2015). I am trying to find some different nuts that mount to the back of the seat. Its not the single bolt in the back that held down the back of the passenger seat but the ones that we under the passenger seat and bolted down the rear of the rider seat. Right now they are exposed of course and I wanted to replace them with something other than the stock nuts.
I just use the assortment of chrome nyloc nuts from HF. Each size in the box have fine and coarse threads. I believe that the coarse thread did the trick.
A couple of hundred chrome nyloc nuts for the price of about 6 at Lowe's.And they were probably made at the same plant!
Mustang makes 2 nice chrome nuts that work and look good there. I picked them up at J&P for cheap along with the mustang mini seat bib. U can still use the rear pillion with them.
