I had mentioned in another thread that my neck hurt after riding for some time and wondered about new handlebars. I may still do that for cosmetic reasons, but I put a new seat on and it worked wonders! It's a heritage style button seat. I don't like the buttons so much but, man does it make the ride nice!
One question...this one has two bolts that hold it on the back, instead of the ones on either side. And the passender pillion slips onto those bolts and then one on the back, instead of actually bolting onto the seat from underneath...is this a common set up?
sounds like mine, its a 07.
heres a snap of it.. Two bolts at the rear of the seat to slip on and one bolt toward the middle rear fender to tighten the back end of the pillion on...
Hmmm...so I wonder if that means it's been modified to accept seats from both Heritage model styles (90's: bolts at bottom/sides of seat) and also (00's: two bolts on back of seat) Is that right?
