Default Polish-restore clear coat

Hey folks,

The area on my tank where knees/thighs rub up next to it, has lost a little luster in the clear coat. What have y'all found that works well to bring back the high gloss look?

Thanks,

Try Meguiars Swirl X Swirl Remover followed by polish. It's sold at most auto parts stores.

(Polish/wax alone will not restore clear coat--it'll just make it shiney.)

Default Griots Complete Compound

MY wife's car was beginning to look really bad and I bought a bottle of Griot's compound and now it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
It looked so good that I did my truck even though it didn't really need it.

Any good polishing compound, not rubbing compound, will do the job followed by a decent wax.
