Default Maybe the original Harley jack?

I bought this jack in Sturgis, 1994. There was no buying stuff online then, or at least not much. There was a guy in town, had built a raised stage out of wood. He had a full bagger on this lift & was talking on a mic while rolling it around, spinning it in circles, etc. I had never seen anything like it. Seems to me it was pretty pricey for the time.... maybe $250. As I said, there was no online ordering or PayPal..... you paid the man then went home & hoped something would show up some time later. And it did. Back when business was done with a handshake. Notice some of the details, like industrial ball bearing casters with grease fittings. 22 years later I still use it, had the Limited up in the air today putting Ohlins on.

Think maybe this was the one all the rest were modeled after?

looks like a great jack. The J&S and Pit Bulls are very similar to yours. Is that the original bottle jack, or did you need to replace yours?

Good tools last. More importantly, they make jobs easier. I never cheap out on tools.

That jack looks dangerously like a Pitbull.

I have one very similar, no wheels, heavy as hell and it's orange not black. There's no label on it but the guy I got it off of bought it back in the early 90's so I'm assuming it's not a Chinese crapola jack.

Very cool. Ditto on the "good ol days" when you could hardly order anything on the internet - especially a tool like this. Looks like a good solid jack not unlike my Sears (modified) jack. Looks like it may have a lower minimum height than mine though.

I remembr going to a gun show once where a couple a guys were selling a new climbing tree stand they designed. It was light and strong - welded from aluminum.

So I bought one from them right there and used it for a number of years until I moved to SC when I sold it at my yard sale. I wish now I would have held on to it, I haven't ever found one as light or practical.

Nope they have been around since the early 80's though that looks to be a definite upgrade over the one I had around 1982 or so. Got it from an ad in chopper mag had no wheels was all cheap angle iron and you had find your own bottle jack, cost about $100 + shipping back then, was the envy of all my friends at the time and man was it wobbly you didn't do anything till you blocked up the wheels on the bike to stabilize it.
