Default New Bob, Rear Fender Alignment Question

Hey Everyone!

First time Harley owner so bare with me! I recently picked up a new-to-me '15 Street Bob. Owner babied it and its in great shape with only 2k on it. In looking the bike over I noticed the rear fender seems to be off center to the rear wheel. Seems the fender is over to the right a little, making the tire closer to the left side of the fender. Is this normal? Is it an issue? I've attached pics. Otherwise bike runs beautifully.

I had an 07 dyna superglide that was like that. I never had any issues with it and never worried about it.

A lot of that is optical illusion I bet because of the belt and belt guard on the left and nothing under the right.

Yeah I thought the same. Its almost impossible to get perfectly in back for a photo as well. The more I look at the photo the more i drive myself crazy. The left shock seems closer to the wheel than the right too. But then again the belt side might be throwing off my eye.

Thats what I was thinking as well. The brake rotor and caliper are on one side and the belt and belt pulley are on the other side.

Optical illusion combined with the fact that wheel component symmetry is not the same on both sides of ANY bike, except maybe a front wheel with dual discs, will make it seem misaligned. Especially prominent on some FX Softails.
Don't over think it; just ride the emmereffer.

The rear fender on my heritage was like that so I loosened all the strut bolts, tweaked the fender in the correct direction, torqued the bolts back in, and presto, fender centered.
