If you knew that you had a few long distance tours coming this summer and you had to choose between a sissy bar or a set of highway pegs mounted on an engine guard, which would you choose? I have attached a photo of the setup I road with last year...mine is the black Slim. All opinions and suggestions are welcome!

I am assuming it's a sissy bar for strapping luggage to vs pegs to stretch your legs out? Go for the pegs. It's hard to beat comfort. If the sissy bar is for your woman, get the sissy bar. Night time comfort is more important.

Without a doubt it would be the pegs. Me personally, I can live with out a lot of things on a bike, but pegs aren't one of them. Have to be able to stretch out from time to time.

I vote sissy bar. Lot easier to pack and to arrange the weight. I can stretch my legs every so often even without pegs.

well pegs for sure, but if its to keep your bride safe, that trumps all, or get cheap pegs and the sissy bar, then buy better pegs next year

Short sissy bar with a T-Bag to carry your stuff. I have hiway pegs on my bikes & they never get any use & I'm 6'1" 200 lbs.

Ditto on the pegs. I have a homebrew rear pack lash up similar top yours.
