Hi there I've been riding for 36 years most of that has been on a 76 super-glide and up until 4 years ago on a 98 Road King. Getting back into it after health issues mainly back problems I'm sure most can relate. Anyway I've been looking at a 03 bager no tour pack cruise or radio 18k no engine upgrades or BS add on's it does have screamin eagle true duel exhaust he's asking $8800 seems high to me I was thinking $7200 am I out of line. Appreciate any feedback

Yeah Im thinking the $7000 price range would be a good price. But honestly you might even do better if you look around. There are newer bikes than that 03 to be had for the same money. Just takes some looking.

If you were trying to trade it in at a dealer, they might offer you $5500 on a trade for a new bike. If they were trying to sell it, I'm sure they would ask $8500. If this is a private individual trying to sell it, I seriously doubt I would pay $6500, and it would have to be very, very clean, no rust, no drips, no bubbled chrome, front forks near perfect, etc.

For private sales, there are a ton of bikes available, and really not that many interested buyers with cash. The sellers think they are going to get dealer prices, and are usually very disappointed. Just follow CraigsList for a couple of months and see how many bikes are there forever.

Understand this is the worst time of year to buy a used bike.

Default still looking for 2003 ultra

Thanks for the input the seller got his numbers buy calling a dealer that gave him the quote over the phone now the $8800 is in his head. The bike is extremely clean and very well maintained with low miles but I think 7k is a good price.

If you really like the bike, go for it. If you're not sure, there are a lot of them for sale this time of the year. Keep looking.
