I am about to buy a 2007 street bob off of craigslist. It has 3,400 miles.
Price is firm at $7,500.
I thought that sounded like a good price but the NADA value is $6,800 for a dealer. This is private party.
The question is does the low mileage make this worthwhile, or is it not that great of a deal?

It is going to need a set of tires, regardless of tread, they are at least 9 yrs old. It will also need all fluids changed, especially the brake fluid, unless by some miracle the owner had it serviced regularly, just never rode it. Highly unlikely. You are probably looking at a $600-$1000 bill, at least, regardless of the low miles.
Ask the seller if the tires are original, then check yourself by looking at the date of manufacture of the tires located on the side wall. Figure out how to read the code.
Ask the seller if he/she has any service records. Even if a bike doesn't get much use, it should have been serviced at least 3 times, including brake flushes. If not ask where the bike was purchased and serviced, and go to that dealer and ask them to pull up the service records, if any. How old is the battery?
Personally, i might go $5500-$6000 if it had been taken care of as it should have.

First is it a stock bike or are there upgrades. Second, it may have low mileage but does the seller have multiple bikes that he services himself? If the answer is yes then that will justify the price and that it's been sitting and not being used. As long as he did the maintenance it it should be fine

I have a 2007 Street Bob. 53,000 miles. Very dependable. Did have to replace compensator at about 35000 miles to SE- I think the newer dynas come with the beefier compensator, you may never need too. That is super low miles. I'd be a little cautious with that low of miles-not good for bikes to sit, maybe have it inspected by a mechanic. 7000-7500 would be okay for me but I'm in California. I would buy another '07 in a heart beat.

I bought a 2007 Street Bob last summer with somewhere around 18000 miles on the clock and nearly $5000 worth of extras. I paid the guy $6500. Great scoot, lots of power, handled pretty good and was fairly comfortable for a solo ride. I ended up selling it for a couple hundred more than I paid for it because it just wasn't comfortable enough to haul the wife around on it. If I were riding solo I would definitely buy another one but $7500 is too high. If you cant get on it for somewhere around $6500 keep looking.
