Harley in Indiana Jones Movie
I went to see the latest Indiana Jones movie yesterday and in one of his typical get away scenes, he hops on the back seat of a Harley with his greaser son driving. \\; Now I would suppose the time frame of the movie setting might have been the mid 1950s maybe a little later, but definitly during the rise of the Communist threat and the days of above ground nuclear tests. \\; Yeah, he messes up a nuke test while he is near gound zero, but survives cause hes Indy.
The Harley began to draw my attention more as I could pick out some the details to help narrow down what year and model it might be. \\; It had a large Harley Davidson with large V logo mounted on the side of the tank. \\; I also noted a tombstone tail light. \\; I also noted the brake fluid reservoir on the handle bars and below the right brake pedal. \\; In addition, I'm quite sure I saw a front disc brake. \\;A two passenger seat, sorta like on an 06 Road Glide. \\; No tool kit on the rear right side. \\; It had \\;a round air cleaner off an old FLH, but no large horn below it or oil filter behind it. \\; A modern version \\;points/timing and cam cover but no magneto.  \\;Yeah, a lot of modern day stuff on this scooter in the mid 1950s setting.

RE: Harley in Indiana Jones Movie
You saw more than I did, but I noted the primary/clutch cover on the left side was definitely post 1965. The tank emblem appeared to be like my 1956 HydraGlide, the tombstone could have come from a 40's era bike.
 \\;
I think the property guys took a Wide Glide of some vintage, and dirtied it up. But you can't fool an owner of Harleys. The stunt guys sure made some fantastic riding in that movie.

I believe that the bike was provided by the moco for the movie. Blame HD for any flaws. \\;

I haven't seen the movie, but the promo image I saw at Burger King was definately a TC Heritage springer with customization. \\; \\;I really like the Hollywood bars.
