Ordered a pair of Frogg Toggs. I have not tried them yet, but I have heard nothing but good things.

I heard frogg toggs melt to pipes in seconds. Im looking for rain gear too.

The best would be something highly compact, visible, vented, and with maybe some heat protection. Cant find much thou.

After my experience or lack thereof on my recent roadtrip where it rained for 7 days straight my best advice is to focus on waterproof footwear and gloves. I had a generic rainsuit (not motorcycle), Timberland boots, and gortex gloves. It got ugly.

A great learning experience. Next roadtrip I WILL be prepared.

I got the Road Toggs, same as Frogg Toggs, just with some added reflective material. I haven't used them as of yet, but if they do melt to the pipes , well, thats' just another reason to keep the duct tape handy.

I've got Frog Toggs also. I heard about the melting thing and put black duct tape on the right leg where it might come into contact with the pipes. I have worn them 3 times in the rain and no problems at all. I like them because they are so light and breathable and don't make you sweat.

I've never felt a drop in my Harley gray $150 rain coat and pants. My waterproof Harley gloves work also. I ride year round in Seattle. It does rain a lot, but there is no deluge.
