Sorry for the X-post, but I need to find this out ASAP.

I have ordered the windshield from Harley that is made for the Deluxe. PN: 57141-05. This is the Low-Profile Smoked Windshield. The ad for the windshield states that this windshield will not accept a windshield bag. Here is my question. Harley also has a windshield bag that states it is made for the Deluxe windshield. PN: 57207-05. Will this bag work with the windshield? Here is a link to the bag.

Yes, it will fit that windshield. I have the same Nostalgic windshield (standard height) and the windshield bag attaches to the arched chrome on the windshield.....It's the only windshield bag that works with the Nostalgic windshields!

 

That's the same bag i have and i have the low profile smoked but on my Dyna. From the picture in the HD site for the deluxe low profile it looks the same as mine with the strip across the middle of the windshield. I think your okay
There is a hole in the center of the back side of the bag. I have a metal strip that runs across side to side about half way up the winshield. I had to remove 1 acorn nut and then slide it through the bag and i was done. On each end of the bag there is a metal slot that keeps the bag from tipping left or right.

It's a great size windshield bag...I currently have 2 sets of glasses, garage door opener, kickstand plate and sunblock in mine with extra room....I throw in my wallet before heading out~~>so plenty of room!!!

 

I learned not to put my cigarettes in there, when you get to where you're going they have all vibrated out of the pack and all the tobacco has vibrated out of each cigarette. Bummer.

 

I put a bag on my wifes Deluxe that is very similar with the exception of the logo. The one I found had a chrome HD logo on it. Then I got creative....I wanted something that matched everything...that means the basketweave design, AND the braided edge...so I braided the edge of the front flap. Now it really looks as if it was made for the deluxe. It'll go great with the Leatherworks saddlebags that I have on order

I have the Deluxe passing lamp set on my Fatboy, and according to the dealer the only windshield that would fit was the nostalgic but my standard HD full size windshield fits without any problems. I'm not sure why HD indicates that you can't. Best I can tell the Fatboy and Deluxe front ends are exactly the same, except for the taller handlebar risers on the Deluxe but that shouldn't have any effect on the windshield.

The reason that I'm telling you this is that you can readily find standard windshields and bags on eBay for a heck of a lot cheaper than the nostalgic type.
