LOL!!!!!!!!!!

THIS JUST IN...

I called Harley just now...the part number 54662-09 is for ONE shock...NOT two!

So there you have it...It seems as though the 54635-09 number is the one used when they are packaged as a set.

It doesn't really matter now...but yes, in MY case, they ARE low profile because I have a FLHTC...but I see what you are saying...you were comparing the stock FLHX shocks with the low profile...in which case, they are the same as far as height.

At any rate...it's cheaper (much) to buy the low profile kit since the FLHX part number is for only ONE shock.

I would get a set of Progressive shocks (You can raise or lower them to suit your taste) and have the best shock for your buck, than go back with stock Harley Shocks. Just my 02 cents worth.
