what kind of ignition does it have? check the pick-up in timing cover, they go bad from heat after a while and need to change the module, but check things first, there are ohm readings, and make sure wheel didn't fall off or break in cover, if you aren't sure of all this , best advise is take it to a good repair shop and let them diag. problem, might be cheaper in the long run

Thanks for the reply, I have taken it off and looked at it. it's just a black box with a 1 & 2 switch. I took a hair dryer to it as per J&P and got it hot without killing the bike. witch led me to the coil so I replaced it. didn't work, now I'm thinking oil pressure switch?

I am curious. Why would you think oil pressure switch? Loses spark like in quits running or has a mystery misfire or no fire?

Is there any relays in between the ignition module (inside timing cover) and the coil ? If so check em out. Also make sure the switch/wires running up to the on off switch in grips (if you have one wired up at your grips) is not shorting out.

How old are your plug wires? Might change em. Cheap and easy replacement.

Not much information provided there to make an 'easy guess'...

Are you losing power completely, or just no spark at the plugs? Oil pressure switch doesn't break the power connection in the ignition, it just turns the idiot light off or if you have a guage it doesn't complete the circuit so the guage would stop working...

Check the battery connections first, then start at the plugs and work your way back to see where the ignition is interupted. A manual for the ignition system you are running would help provide proper diagnostic sequence...

Also, when you are asking for assistance, it would help if you provided more information about the bike. You said yer runnin a revtech 100ci engine. That makes me think it could be a custom built bike which may or may not be fitted with HD ignition. Those on this side of the question, have to make assumptions if there isn't enough info given...

Changing parts out can get pretty expensive, if you don't follow proper diagnostics or have some idea where the problem exists!
