Default Pitted Chrome.

So I ride year around and get cursed with pitted chrome. What or how do you deal with it?

To my knowledge theres really nothing you can do. You can put a chrome polish on it to make the pitted areas look somewhat better (by removing the rusting that is occurring in each pit), but you can't remove the pits themselves. The only way to actually remove pits is to have the entire piece involved re-chromed. Not so basically chroming is a commercial process whereby a surface is coated in chromium using electrolytic principles. if pitting occurs, then the chromium is just gone, worn away or eaten away by the rust from underneath.
