Default Chrome cleaner for surface scratches?

Anyone know what to use to remove small surface scratches on chrome exhaust? Is there a polish that acts like a filler? Thanks for the help.

I don't know about fillers for scratches, but a chrome polish will only take the edge off the scratch so it isn't so obvious. Chrome polish will have chemicals it along with a very fine powder that is abrasive. The chemicals cut through the rust and tarnish, while the power scrubs away stuff, including chrome. That's why coin and precious metal dealers don't use it on their stuff.
For the polish to be most effective for removing hard stuff or smoothing out a scratch, use a peice of cardboard instead of a rag to apply and rub the area. Clean up with the rag.

It has always been my understanding, as well as my own experience, that it is simply impossible to buff out scratches from chrome. For one thing, if you can see the scratch, then it is probably not buffable. And if you try to buff chrome it is likely you will simply take it off. Chrome is exceedingly thin and it can be taken off unintentionally with ease. Seems to me that you will end up like me, i.e., I have come to live with the fine scratches that come on board as a result of freeway riding. When the bike is clean and polished with something like NeverDull, no one can see the scratches. Are you putting your eyeballs right on the chrome? Forget about them. They give the bike some character.
