Default exhaust gasket install...is this still good?

Take a look at the pic....is this gasket toast? Or will it be fine to go ahead and install the header? Thank you!

Doesn't look good. But, what the hell, give it a try. I've had my exhaust off several times and haven't replaced the gaskets yet with no leaks. If your exhaust is a PITA though, you might want to change it.

Use the tip of a small screw driver or something and repair the shape of it.[pack it down] Then put the pipe on. I've done it before.

Buy a new one or try and use the old one, it's your call.

Technically speaking that gasket is made to crush once. I've never re-used one but it seems others have with success.

While many people reuse them, they are made to crush only once.

They are also relatively cheap: think they were only about $6-7 when I replaced my exhaust. If in doubt to the point where you have to ask if they're ok, pay the $6-7 and replace them.

I've reused exhaust gaskets lots of times with no leaks/issues. Try it and see what happens.
