I just picked up an older Harley King tour pack and not sure what the year it is, and would like anyone's help and info on it if you could help..
It needs some work needs hinges, latches, the locking mechanism and the backrest pad. I added a couple pics thanks for all the help

Looks like it came off an 80's or early 90's Glide. I bought a similar one off Ebay about 8 years ago. It's all ABS plastic, so any cracks or holes can be repaired with an ABS repair kit from automotove paint supply store. The hinges, backrest and entire lock kit can still be ordered from an HD Dealer. I replaced all of the H/W but did not want to spend the cash for the HD specific rivets and tool. I just used a craftsman rivit gun and rivets. It has held up for many years and miles and now gets used ocassionally on my SG when the kids or Mrs. wants to go for a ride.

Thank you for your info.
I won't be using it all the time just for longer trips

I have the same type on mine. Jimh9114 is correct. Mine came with a much smaller rack that I ditched for a full size top rack. All parts are interchangeble with modern tour packs up to 2009, and possibly beyond. I upgraded the hinges, and latches from this guy:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HARLEY-DAVID...b834cd&vxp=mtr

He happens to be very near where I live. Good honest guy, and he will supply the correct screws, washers, and nuts. He can also key the lock to your ignition.

Added the winged backrest, and led side lights. New coat of paint, and a great deal at less than half the cost of new.
