Default I hate electronics, suggestion for production years or models?

Hi guys,
Im new here and would like to buy an used harley in the USA, but i have a slight problem, I HATE electronics (EFI and the other silly computer things ) - i have no particular reason for this I just like to have things the simple way

do you have a suggestion for me? which model should i buy/which year?(i want something like a wide glide but it doesnt really matter, just something similar, not a sportster, not a V-rod)

Thanks!

Tom.

Try looking for 1984-2000 Evolution engines. Very reliable and the last of the "simple" bikes.

95-up EVO dyna. Best years for the EVO. Very reliable, relatively cheap and easy to wrench on.

You have described the Harley Davidson "Evo".
You can meet some of the people who ride them here:

Agreed...2000 and earlier evo is the way to go. However, this era of evo will also encompass many late model customs (titan, big bear, big dog, etc.). You can often pick up a low mileage prostreet or chopper that are based on the evo and carburated rather than fuel injected. Stay away from bourgette left side drives though, they have a retarded primary-secondary drive system that is a pain in the @ss and unreliable (probably why the resale is so low).

If you want simple with great reliability and nearly double the power, find one with one of these motors tucked into it. This 96" is in my 89 Tour Glide, love it.
