What to do with helmets ?
Newbie here, what do you do with your helmet when you stop at the grocery store or other business? I was thinking of using a bike lock to lock it up, what do you do to keep them from getting ripped off?

Gun lock. It's like a padlock, but instead of a metal shank, it has a flexible metal cord about 15 inches long. If you don't have a pistol, you can pick up a lock in Wal-mart sporting goods for about $15.

If I'm going in and out, I carry mine. If I'm going in for awhile, like at the VA, I have a cable lock. If I'm at a shop, if I ask, they'll put it behind the counter or some place.

Hang it on either the handlebar or on the mirror. If someone needs my old smelly helmet that bad, they can have it.
